Pixelated Fitness (“we,” “us,” or “our”) builds software for gym-goers who want personalized guidance without a human trainer. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect information when you interact with our website, waitlist, and forthcoming iOS application (collectively, the “Services”).
2. Information We Collect
- Account & contact data: name, email address, authentication tokens, and any optional profile info you provide.
- Fitness inputs: workout preferences, gym equipment, goals, and logged sessions you choose to share.
- Device & usage data: IP address, device type, OS, app version, crash logs, and analytics events to improve stability.
- Health data (optional): metrics imported from Apple HealthKit only with your explicit consent. Health data stays on-device unless you authorize cloud sync.
3. How We Use Information
- Personalize workout plans and recommendations.
- Maintain account security, authentication, and fraud prevention.
- Provide customer support and notify you about updates.
- Analyze aggregated usage to enhance features and reliability.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.
4. Sharing & Disclosure
We do not sell personal data. We may share limited information with vetted vendors that provide infrastructure, analytics, or customer support—each bound by confidentiality and data processing agreements. We may disclose information if required by law, to defend our legal rights, or in connection with a merger or asset transfer. Any aggregated or de-identified data cannot reasonably identify you.
5. Health & Sensitive Data
Health metrics imported from Apple HealthKit or entered manually are processed only to deliver the Services you request. We never use HealthKit data for marketing or advertising, and we do not share it with third parties except for secure cloud storage providers acting on our behalf. You can revoke HealthKit permissions anytime through iOS Settings.
6. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to deliver the Services. When you request deletion, we remove or anonymize data unless retention is required for legal, tax, or security reasons. Backup copies age out on a rolling schedule.
7. Your Rights & Choices
- Access, update, or delete your account data through the app or by contacting us.
- Opt out of waitlist or marketing emails via the unsubscribe link.
- Disable analytics or revoke HealthKit permissions via iOS privacy settings.
- Residents of the EU/EEA, UK, California, and other jurisdictions may have additional rights; contact us to exercise them.
8. Security
We use encryption in transit and at rest, role-based access, and regular security reviews to guard your information. No system is perfectly secure, so we encourage you to use strong passwords, enable device-level protections, and contact us immediately if you suspect unauthorized activity.
9. International Transfers
Data may be processed in the United States or other countries where we or our vendors operate. When transferring data internationally, we rely on appropriate legal mechanisms such as Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards.
10. Children
The Services are not directed to individuals under 16. If we learn we collected data from a child without verifiable parental consent, we will delete it promptly.
11. Updates & Contact
